Our Story

Built on the Experience
of Needing a Voice

Translation Excellence was founded in 2010 by Nisar Nikzad, who arrived in the United States as a refugee from Afghanistan and lived firsthand what it means to navigate a world without language access. That experience shaped everything — our values, our culture, and our commitment to doing this work with genuine care.

Today we serve individuals, corporations, and government agencies across the country. The company has grown significantly, but the culture Nisar built — family-first, people-centered, mission-driven — has never changed.

"Be Yourself in Life. Be Yourself at TE."

Translation Excellence — Core Belief

Why TE

More Than a Job.
A Place to Belong.

Language services attract people who care about communication, connection, and community. Here’s what you’ll find when you join our team.

Work That Matters

Schedule, manage, and track American Sign Language interpreting services. Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients can submit interpreting requests and review service history. Interpreters can manage assignments, confirm availability, and track upcoming work.

Inclusive by Nature

Our team reflects the communities we serve — dozens of languages, backgrounds, and perspectives. We don’t just talk about diversity; it’s embedded in the work. Being yourself here isn’t a policy. It’s the baseline.

Stability You Can Count On

We hold ISO 9001, 17100, and 27001 certifications and carry active government contracts — including federal agency work — that drive consistent, year-round demand. We’ve maintained a 98% client retention rate for over a decade. This is not a startup bet; it’s a proven organization.

A Team That Feels Like Family

We’re large enough to offer real career paths, and small enough that leadership knows your name. Nisar started this company with a family-first culture, and it has remained intact as we’ve grown. Your voice matters here.
