Position Title: Project Manager (Full-time)

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. This role requires interaction with a range of staff and clients, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously. The objectives of the position are the successful development of the project’s procedures of initiation, planning, execution, regulation and closure as well as working with the team towards achieving all the agreed upon goals within the set scope, time, quality and budget standards.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project progress updates on a consistent basis to clients
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Monitor progress and adjust as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensuring projects meet deadlines
  • Managing relationships with clients
  • Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review
  • Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
  • Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
  • Securing growth opportunities and initiating new projects

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of project management and related experience
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle

Position Title: Scheduling Coordinator/Project Manager

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-growing global language service agency. Translation Excellence is seeking a full-time scheduling coordinator to work as Scheduler/Project Manager for one of our government contracts.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service support to our government client.
  • Provide scheduling support for about 30+ interpreters who service 15+ deaf federal employees in the DC metro area.
  • Provide support as needed in scheduling interpreters nationwide.
  • Making sure the interpreters have prep materials for jobs and monitoring consumer satisfaction.
  • Reply to service requests with follow up meeting/telephone calls/emails/text message, and confirmations; and works closely with the scheduling team on scheduling needs.
  • Discuss/resolve any service-related issues.
  • Document any service/scheduling related issues, complaints, and processes improvements.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and effectively by both orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective respectful working relationships with scheduling team, service providers and consumers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and customer service skills
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • Well organized

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • NIC Certified interpreter with at least 3 years professional experience interpreting for the government.
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in scheduling ASL/CART service providers

Work Schedule:

  • Work hours have some flexibility at 35+ hours per week
  • Must be able to start your day as early as 7:00am EST

Position Title: In-House Spanish Technical Translator

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-growing global translations agency with offices in Aurora, Colorado and Washington, D.C. Translation Excellence is seeking an experienced In-House Spanish Technical Translator.

The successful candidate will be a native Spanish speaker, experienced Spanish translator with excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, open to learn new technology.

The role will involve, but is not limited to the below tasks:

  • Translate a variety of technical and non-technical documents from English into Spanish and vice versa.
  • Proofread Spanish/English translated documents.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. A native Spanish speaker, with strong command of the English language
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English languages
  • Must be extremely organized with the ability to multitask, finish major projects by stipulated deadlines and properly prioritize tasks that need to be done.
  • Must be team oriented and self motivated.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A background in Journalism and/or Business Administration
  • A background as former educator
  • Background knowledge and experience in the language services industry
  • Education at the university level in both English and Spanish
  • Ability to learn and leverage new systems quickly to improve operations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and effectively by both orally and in writing across multiple departments, and communication styles.
