Thank you for your interest in becoming an intern with Translation Excellence, Inc. We are a fast-growing translation agency, and we rely on professional talent to help further our core business objectives. We offer the following paid internship opportunities.
Company and Internship Objectives:
- Meet and exceed needs of existing and future clients through outstanding customer service
- Assist in gaining new clients through targeted marketing campaigns
- Determine future language needs and help design services to meet those needs
- Develop professional business skills within an office environment
- Develop skills targeted towards the language service industry
- Further personal linguistic skills
Internship Roles and Responsibilities:
As an intern working within translation agency marketing objectives, you will be directly supervised by the on-site project manager and/or company president.
Role
- You will support the activities of the agency through marketing efforts and limited project management experiences.
Internship Responsibilities (12+ hours):
- Write one blog post per week (topic will be assigned based on current need and relevance)
- Track Twitter feeds of relevant industries/companies and write weekly report concerning needs and how our agency can meet those needs
- Assist with the writing of marketing materials, eBooks, and other correspondence as assigned
- Make calls to current and prospective clients to determine potential or future language needs and prepare reports to show marketing analysis and results of calls
- Answer calls and take client requests
- Write summary about weekly internship experience – what was learned and what you would like to learn more about
- Practice translation ranging from 1-3 pages per week
Internship Responsibilities (25+ hours):
- Write three-four blog posts per week (topic will be assigned based on current need and relevance)
- Track Twitter feeds of relevant industries/companies and write weekly report concerning needs and how our agency can meet those needs
- Assist with the writing of marketing materials, eBooks, and other correspondence as assigned
- Make calls to current and prospective clients to determine potential or future language needs and prepare reports to show marketing analysis and results of calls
- Answer calls and take client requests
- Write summary about weekly internship experience – what was learned and what you would like to learn more about
- Practice translation ranging from 1-3 pages per week
- Bilingual interns have opportunity to practice translation skills with client projects under supervision of a professional translator
- Interns are expected to take part in limited project management tasks through mailing project quotes to venders and by observing experienced project managers
- Interns have opportunity to participate in professional development conferences and/or interpretation assignments
- Other tasks as needed or assigned
Internship Schedule:
- 12+ hours means minimum of 12 hours to a maximum of 25 hours
- 25+ hours means minimum of 25 hours to a maximum of 40 hours
- Translation Excellence will work around interns’ schedules
- Interns should let the project manager or company president know if they will be unavailable or if their schedule will change for a particular day or time
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English with excellent command of English grammar and language
- Intermediate knowledge or better of a second language
- Well organized with the ability to multitask
- Team oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to properly prioritize tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 2007 or later
