The HUBZone program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities gain important access to Federal and State contracting opportunities. Among other requirements, the Federal HUBZone program requires a firm’s principal office to be located in a Federal HUBZone location, with no less than 35% of its employees residing in HUBZones. The program was enacted into law as part of the Small Business Reauthorization Act of 1997.
